IS 3087:2005 specifies the material composition, density, bonding and surface-finish requirements for medium-density particle boards from wood and other lignocellulosic materials for general purposes. The standard covers plain particle boards, veneered particle boards, fibreboards and plywood classified under headings 4410, 4411 and 4412 of the Customs Tariff.
