IS 17803 specifies the safety and performance requirements for cookware and kitchen utensils made of stainless steel, copper, copper alloys and aluminium, including pans, vessels, containers and table articles. The standard governs base material, coating, weld integrity, handle attachment, surface finish and migration limits for products in direct food contact.
