IS 1364 specifies the requirements for hexagon head bolts, screws and nuts of product grades A and B, governing precision threaded steel fasteners used in machine assembly, automotive components and structural connections. The standard prescribes tighter thread tolerance and mechanical property bands than IS 1363.
