IS 8674 specifies the requirements for high-tenacity polyamide and polyester yarns, twines, cordage and ropes, together with knotted netting of man-made textile materials. The standard governs linear density, breaking strength, twist construction and resistance to abrasion for marine, agricultural and industrial cordage.
