IS 18427 specifies the requirements for plain, lacquered, printed and embossed tinplate and aluminium containers used for packing food, beverages, edible oils, aerosols and industrial fills. The standard governs base-metal grade, lacquer film integrity, seam strength, pressure resistance and migration limits for direct food-contact end-use.
