IS 14756 specifies the safety and performance requirements for domestic pressure cookers manufactured from stainless steel, aluminium and other ferrous and non-ferrous bodies, covering body strength, gasket integrity, vent-weight calibration and overpressure-release operation. The standard applies to inner-lid and outer-lid construction across the household capacity range.
