IS 17875 specifies the requirements for cold-drawn and cold-rolled (cold-reduced) tubes, pipes and hollow profiles of stainless steel intended for general engineering, instrumentation, heat-exchanger and fluid-handling applications. The standard governs chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional tolerance, hydrostatic test parameters and surface finish.
