IS 15885 prescribes the safety requirements for low-voltage power supplies, including bridge rectifiers, voltage regulators and stabilisers connected to mains or low-voltage circuits. The standard, aligned with IEC 61558, applies as the parent code with appliance-specific Part numbers for switch-mode and ferroresonant units.
