IS 15138 specifies the requirements for jute and jute-blend sacks used in the bulk packing of foodgrains, sugar and similar agricultural commodities. The standard prescribes weight per square metre, ends and picks, breaking strength and seam construction for hessian and sacking-cloth grades.
