The single most common error on this tariff line is treating all jute sacks falling under HSN 6305 10 90 as a single BIS QCO obligation, when in reality eight distinct Indian Standards govern different product sub-types — each with its own CM/L scope, bag weight, and enforcement date. A supplier holding a CM/L against IS 1943 for A-twill bags is not licensed to supply IS 16372 bags for 30 kg foodgrain packs, and customs will detain a consignment where the bill-of-entry product description does not match the IS number on the CM/L. Map each SKU to its governing IS before the purchase order, not at the point of filing the bill of entry.
