IS 14871 specifies the requirements for fibre-reinforced cement pipes and pipe fittings used in pressure and non-pressure conveyance of water and other fluids. The standard prescribes wall thickness, hydraulic test pressure, crushing load and dimensional tolerance across the pipe-class range.
