IS 2141 specifies the requirements for hot-dip galvanised stranded steel wire used in overhead transmission lines, stay-wire applications and similar tension-bearing services. The standard prescribes wire diameter, lay length, zinc-coating mass, tensile strength and torsion limits for stranded constructions.
