IS 14709 specifies the requirements for butyl acrylate, an unsaturated monocarboxylic ester used as a monomer in acrylic polymer, paint, adhesive and coatings manufacture. The standard prescribes purity, acidity, inhibitor content and colour limits for the technical grade.
