Importers sourcing against IS 13252 (Part 1):2010 or IS 616:2017 R-numbers after 1 May 2026 (for serial no. 65 goods) or after 1 November 2028 (for all other notified goods) will present lapsed-standard registrations at customs, triggering consignment detention regardless of the otherwise valid-looking R-number on the bill of entry.
