- 3Note the Ministry of Mines clarification on NFMIMS scope and ensure your copper coil product falls within Annexure-I (copper) of the NFMIMS notification. The most common error on this tariff line is applying for NFMIMS registration after vessel departure or at the port of arrival, relying on a misreading of the abolished minimum-advance-window rule. While the 5-day minimum has been removed, the registration must still precede arrival; a consignment arriving without a valid NFMIMS number has no lawful basis for out-of-charge and is detained pending registration — accruing demurrage and ground rent that cannot be retrospectively waived.
