The most common error on this tariff line is filing the bill of entry without a live NFMIMS registration number — either because registration was applied for too late, or because the 75-day validity lapsed between registration and the consignment's actual arrival. The minimum advance-registration requirement has been reduced to zero days (per S.O. 3759(E)), but the 60-day outer window and the 75-day validity window remain in force; a lapsed or absent registration number will prevent out-of-charge regardless of the consignment's physical readiness.
