IS 19014 specifies the safety requirements for electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers, roasters and similar domestic cooking appliances connected to mains supply. The standard governs electrical insulation, temperature rise, surface heating, mechanical stability, hazardous-substance limits and fault-condition behaviour aligned with IEC 60335-2-6.
