Green-houses
Prefabricated wood greenhouses for horticulture
HSN 9406 10 10 (Green-houses, of wood) is subject to the ITC (HS) Restricted-import policy administered by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025 introduced Para 19 to the General Notes of the ITC (HS) 2022, imposing port restrictions on imports of certain goods originating from Bangladesh, with exemptions specified in Paras 2 and 3 of that notification.

- 1Determine whether the consignment originates from Bangladesh. If so, confirm that the port of import is among those permitted under Para 1 of DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025, which restricts entry of specified goods from Bangladesh to designated ports only.DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025 · General Notes Para 19 of ITC (HS) 2022
- 2Verify whether the consignment qualifies for an exemption under Paras 2 or 3 of DGFT Notification 7/2025-26. If an exemption applies, retain supporting documentation at the bill-of-entry stage; if no exemption applies and the port restriction is triggered, re-route to a notified port before filing the bill of entry.DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025 · General Notes Para 19 of ITC (HS) 2022
The Bangladesh-origin port restriction under Para 19 is conditional: importers of wood greenhouses sourced from third countries are unaffected, while those with Bangladesh supply chains must map every consignment to the notified-port list before booking freight. Filing a bill of entry at a non-notified port with a Bangladesh-origin consignment constitutes a breach of the ITC (HS) Restricted-import condition, exposing the consignment to detention and possible re-export at the importer's cost.
