Parts of deep well turbine and rotary pumps
HSN 8413 91 30 (parts of deep well turbine pumps and other rotary pumps) is subject to Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) appliance labelling and compliance obligations under the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Appliance Labeling and Compliance) Regulations, 2026, issued vide Notification No. 5506/BEE/S&L/AL/2025-26 dated 26-12-2025. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) administers the underlying ITC (HS) import policy for Chapter 84 machinery.

- 1Ensure the consignment is compliant with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Appliance Labeling and Compliance) Regulations, 2026 before filing the bill of entry. The BEE energy label must be affixed and supporting compliance documentation uploaded in e-Sanchit prior to out-of-charge.BEE Notification No. 5506/BEE/S&L/AL/2025-26 dated 26-12-2025
- 2Confirm that the imported parts fall within the product scope of the Regulations and that the labelling particulars (star rating, energy consumption parameters) conform to the specifications prescribed under Notification No. 5506/BEE/S&L/AL/2025-26. Non-conforming labels attract detention at the port of import.BEE Notification No. 5506/BEE/S&L/AL/2025-26 dated 26-12-2025
The most common error on this tariff line is assuming that parts — as distinct from finished pump assemblies — fall outside BEE's labelling scope. The Regulations explicitly extend to parts of deep well turbine and rotary pumps under HSN 8413 91 30; importers who present the bill of entry without BEE-compliant labelling documentation face consignment detention and ground rent accumulation until the deficiency is rectified or the consignment is re-exported.
