The most common error on this tariff line is treating the BEE Regulations, 2026 as a post-importation obligation rather than a pre-clearance requirement. Energy-label conformance must be in place before shipment departs origin; consignments arriving without compliant labelling face detention at the port of import, and remediation at the port — re-labelling or re-packaging — is not ordinarily permissible under the Regulations.
