- 1Source only from a Bureau of Indian Standards CM/L-licensed manufacturer holding a current licence against IS 16014:2018. The most frequent compliance failure on this tariff line is ignoring the staggered enforcement dates and treating the earliest date — 04 July 2024 — as universally applicable. An importer sourcing from a micro or small enterprise manufacturer that has not yet reached its mandatory date may still face detention if the customs officer applies the blanket date without reference to the manufacturer's enterprise-size classification. Obtain written confirmation of the supplier's enterprise-size category under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 before the shipment date and retain it as a customs-clearance document.
