- 5Verify whether the consignment's bill of lading shipped-on-board date is on or before 31 March 2026 and whether the ITC HS code appears in Annexure I of the MoS Order F.No. S-20011/15/2024-TECH-PART(2) dated 20-11-2025. Consignments within that carve-out are temporarily exempted from mandatory QCO compliance; retain the order and the bill of lading as documentary evidence at customs.MoS Order F.No. S-20011/15/2024-TECH-PART(2) dated 20-11-2025
The single most common error on this tariff line is applying the IS 6392:2020 flanges regime — which governs the sibling galvanised entry at 7307 91 10 — to non-galvanised flanges at 7307 91 90, while missing IS 1879:2010 entirely. The two tariff lines carry different IS standards and different enforcement dates; a supplier CM/L licence issued against IS 6392:2020 provides no cover for a consignment declared under 7307 91 90, and customs will detain the goods pending fresh BIS verification. Confirm the specific IS number on the supplier's CM/L certificate matches IS 1879:2010 before shipment.
