Knitted or crocheted ski suits of artificial fibres
HSN 6112 20 50 (Ski suits of artificial fibres) is subject to the ITC (HS) import policy administered by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), with a mandatory Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate (PSIC) covering prohibited azo-dye absence under General Note 10 of the ITC (HS) policy. Imports originating from Bangladesh are additionally subject to port restrictions under DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025.
- Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate from accredited lab
- Test report from Textile Committee or CSRTI
- ITC (HS) policy declaration from DGFT
- 1Obtain a Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate from an accredited laboratory of the exporting country, or a valid test report from a Textile Committee (TC) or Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute (CSRTI) laboratory, certifying absence of prohibited hazardous azo dyes. Imports from EU, Serbia, Poland, Denmark, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom are exempt from azo-dye testing only.General Note 10 of the ITC (HS) Import Policy · DGFT Public Notice 14/2023 dated 14-06-2023
- 2If the consignment originates from Bangladesh, verify applicability of Para 19 of the General Notes introduced by DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025, which imposes port restrictions on certain goods imported from Bangladesh. Confirm whether the goods fall within the exempted categories listed under Para 2 and Para 3 of that notification before routing the shipment.DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025, Para 1, Para 2, Para 3 and Para 19
The azo-dye testing exemption is origin-specific and applies only to the nine listed countries; importers sourcing from any other origin — including third-country transshipments routed through an exempt country — must present a valid PSIC or TC/CSRTI test report at the bill of entry stage. Failure to upload the PSIC before out-of-charge results in consignment detention and potential demurrage, as rectification of a missing PGA compliance document is not treated as a labelling defect under the ITC (HS) food-and-textile policy.
