- 2Where the consignment originates from Bangladesh, verify compliance with the port restrictions introduced under Para 19 of the General Notes as per DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025. Review Paras 2 and 3 of that notification to determine whether the specific consignment qualifies under the exempted-goods carve-out before filing the bill of entry.DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025, Para 19 General Notes of ITC (HS) 2022
The most common error on this tariff line is assuming that silk apparel exported from an azo-dye-exempt country requires no testing documentation whatsoever. The exemption covers azo-dye testing only; a PSIC certifying broader composition and the absence of other prohibited hazardous dyes remains mandatory for all origins. Consignments arriving without any PSIC or test report are liable to detention at port pending re-export or destruction.
