- 2If the consignment originates from Bangladesh, verify compliance with para 19 of the General Notes under DGFT Notification 7/2025-26, which imposes port restrictions on import of certain goods from Bangladesh. Confirm whether the goods fall within the exempted categories listed in para 2 and para 3 of that notification before nominating the port of import.DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025, para 1, 2 and 3
The most frequent error on this tariff line is treating the azo-dye testing exemption for listed countries as a blanket waiver of the PSIC requirement. The exemption is confined solely to the azo-dye test; the PSIC covering composition and other hazardous-dye parameters remains mandatory for all origins. Consignments presented without a valid PSIC at the bill-of-entry stage are subject to detention and demurrage pending rectification.
