HSN 6108 32 10 (Of synthetic fibres) is subject to ITC (HS) import policy administered by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), requiring a Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate confirming the absence of prohibited hazardous azo dyes. Imports from Bangladesh are additionally subject to port restrictions under DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025.

The most common error on this tariff line is assuming the azo-dye PSIC exemption applies universally when the supplier is located in a non-listed country. Only the nine named origins are exempt from azo-dye testing; all other exporting countries must furnish a valid PSIC or accredited-lab test report regardless of the supplier's assurances. A consignment arriving without the requisite certificate is liable to detention at the port of import pending documentary compliance.
