Of yarns of different colours
Knitted or crocheted fabrics of yarns of different colours
HSN 6006 33 00 (Of yarns of different colours) is subject to the ITC (HS) import policy administered by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), which requires a Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate (PSIC) covering the absence of prohibited hazardous azo dyes under General Note 10 of the ITC (HS) policy. Consignments from countries outside a specified exempt list must furnish a PSIC from an accredited laboratory of the exporting country or a valid test report from a Textile Committee or CSRTI laboratory.

- Test report from Textile Committee
- ITC (HS) policy declaration to DGFT
- 1Obtain a Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate from an accredited laboratory of the exporting country, or a valid test report from a Textile Committee (TC) or CSRTI laboratory, certifying the absence of prohibited hazardous azo dyes. This document must accompany the bill of entry for all origins not on the exempt list.General Note 10 of the ITC (HS) Import Policy · DGFT Public Notice 14/2023 dated 14-06-2023
- 2If the consignment originates from the EU, Serbia, Poland, Denmark, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, or the United Kingdom, the azo-dye PSIC is exempt; however, confirm that no other General Note 10 requirement applies to the specific fabric composition before filing the bill of entry.General Note 10 of the ITC (HS) Import Policy · DGFT Public Notice 14/2023 dated 14-06-2023
The most common error on this tariff line is assuming the country-of-origin exemption from azo-dye testing dispenses with all PSIC obligations under General Note 10. The exemption is confined to azo-dye testing only; other hazardous-dye parameters under General Note 10 remain in force regardless of origin. A consignment presented without a compliant PSIC or test report is liable to detention and demurrage at the port of import pending documentary cure.
