The most common error on this tariff line is assuming the country-of-origin azo-dye exemption eliminates the PSIC requirement entirely. The exemption applies only to azo-dye testing; a PSIC or valid test report confirming compliance with other prohibited-dye parameters is still required regardless of origin. Consignments arriving without any PSIC documentation are liable to detention at the port of import pending production of a qualifying test report.
