The most frequent error on this tariff line is assuming the country-of-origin azo-dye exemption extends beyond the nine listed countries. A PSIC omitted on the basis of an incorrectly assumed exemption results in consignment detention pending post-import testing, with demurrage and ground rent accruing at the port. The exemption applies to the country of manufacture, not the country of the exporting trader.
