If importing into or clearing from an SEZ, FTWZ, or EOU, confirm whether processing with an 8-digit HS-code change has occurred. PIMS registration is required at the point of SEZ/FTWZ/EOU import; a DTA clearance of unprocessed paper already registered under PIMS does not require fresh registration, but a change in 8-digit HS code after processing triggers a new PIMS registration obligation for the DTA importer.

The most common error on this tariff line is misjudging the registration window: applying earlier than the 75th day before expected arrival is not permitted, and applying later than the 5th day before arrival leaves no time for system processing.
