- 3For consignments originating from Bangladesh, confirm applicability of DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025 regarding the port restrictions under Para 1, and determine whether the goods fall within the exempted categories under Para 2 and Para 3 before shipment.DGFT Notification 7/2025-26 dated 17-05-2025
The most common error on this tariff line is treating a valid FSSAI Import Licence as sufficient clearance while overlooking the label-rectification regime. Labelling deficiencies — including missing per-serve percentage contribution to recommended dietary allowance, or the absence of expiry and best-before dates — may be rectified only at a customs bonded warehouse before visual inspection, by affixing a non-detachable sticker that does not alter the original label. Attempting label correction after customs inspection, or outside a bonded warehouse, constitutes a breach of FSS (Import) Regulations, 2017 and may trigger consignment detention.
