- 5Quote the supplier's BIS CM/L number and SIMS registration number on the bill of entry, supported by the test certificate. Confirm that the serial number for this HSN in Schedule 1 is not among the entries suspended for one year under S.O. 5134(E); if it is, document the deferred-enforcement basis on the entry.S.O. 5134(E) dated 20-11-2025 · CBIC Instruction 16/2025-CUS dated 18-06-2025 as modified by CBIC Instruction 23/2025-CUS dated 15-07-2025
The most consequential oversight on this tariff line is importing without first confirming whether the specific serial number for silico-manganese steel bars and rods in coils falls within the entries suspended under S.O. 5134(E) dated 20-11-2025 — or, conversely, assuming suspension when the entry is fully operative. Importers who proceed on incorrect enforcement-status assumptions discover the error at the port examination stage, by which point consignment detention and demurrage are already accruing. Cross-check the Schedule 1 serial number against both S.O. 3716(E) and S.O. 5134(E) before every shipment.
