The most consequential oversight on this tariff line is failing to check whether the specific serial-number entry for this product in Schedule 1 of S.O. 3716(E) is among those whose enforcement has been suspended for one year under S.O. 5134(E) dated 20-11-2025. An importer who treats suspension as a blanket exemption — or who treats active enforcement as applying to a suspended entry — faces either unnecessary compliance cost or, worse, detention of a consignment on a QCO obligation that is, or is not, currently operative. Confirm the current operative status of the relevant Schedule 1 serial number before each shipment.
