The most consequential oversight on this tariff line is failing to identify which specific serial number in Schedule 1 of S.O. 3716(E) maps to the chromium-type stainless steel bars being imported — and whether that serial number's enforcement has been deferred under S.O. 5134(E) dated 20-11-2025 for one or three years. Importers who proceed on the assumption that the deferral covers their product without confirming the exact Schedule 1 serial number risk importing without a valid QCO mandate on record, creating exposure to retrospective penalty if the deferral does not apply to their specific IS entry.
