The deferral applies only to the specific serial numbers enumerated in that notification; all other entries in Schedule 1 remain operative from the original enforcement date. Importers who skip the serial-number verification against the current Schedule 1 and proceed without a CM/L-licensed supplier face consignment detention and compulsory disposal of sub-standard product as scrap under Section 17(1)(b) of the BIS Act, 2016.
