The single most common error on this tariff line is failing to confirm whether the specific Schedule 1 serial number for this product variant is among those whose enforcement was deferred by S.O. 5134(E) dated 20-11-2025. Importers who do not map their product to the correct Schedule 1 serial number either wrongly assume the deferral applies — and arrive at port without a valid CM/L-backed consignment — or incur unnecessary compliance spend on a deferred line. The serial-number mapping must be done against the gazette text of S.O. 3716(E) and verified against S.O. 5134(E) before every shipment.
