Unbleached or bleached nylon georgette woven fabric

HSN 5407 41 22 (Nylon georgette) is subject to the ITC (HS) import policy administered by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), which requires a Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate certifying the absence of prohibited azo dyes under General Note 10 of the ITC (HS) Schedule. The azo-dye testing obligation applies to all origins except EU, Serbia, Poland, Denmark, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

   Obtain a Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate from an accredited laboratory of the exporting country, or a valid test report from a Textile Committee or CSRTI laboratory, certifying the absence of prohibited hazardous azo dyes. This obligation applies to all origins other than EU, Serbia, Poland, Denmark, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

   Upload the Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate or test report in e-Sanchit at the bill of entry stage and ensure the customs documentation reflects the country of origin, as the azo-dye testing exemption is origin-specific and will be verified against the declared origin before out-of-charge.
