Obtain a Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate from an accredited laboratory of the exporting country, or a valid test report from a Textile Committee (TC) or CSRTI laboratory, certifying the absence of prohibited hazardous azo dyes. 2. 2
If the consignment originates in Bangladesh, route it exclusively through Nhava Sheva seaport; import through any land port on the India-Bangladesh border is prohibited. A word of counsel

The most common error on this tariff line is assuming that compliance with the azo-dye PSIC requirement fully satisfies the import conditions without separately verifying the port-of-entry restriction for Bangladesh-origin goods. A consignment correctly accompanied by a PSIC but arriving at a land port on the India-Bangladesh border will be refused entry and is liable to detention and re-export, as the port restriction operates independently of the testing-and-documentation overlay.
