Unani system bulk medicaments, multi-constituent therapeutic preparations
HSN 3003 90 12 (Of Unani system) is subject to Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) regulatory oversight governing import of Unani medicaments under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940. At the bill-of-entry stage, customs officers verify mandatory e-Sanchit uploads — including a Certificate of Analysis, a Batch Release Certificate, and a consignment label — before granting out-of-charge.
- Certificate of Analysis from drug manufacturer
- Batch Release Certificate from manufacturer
- Label of consignment from CBIC
- 1Ensure the Certificate of Analysis for the drug (document code 0010dc) and the Batch Release Certificate (document code 0030dc) are uploaded in e-Sanchit before the bill of entry is filed. These documents must cover the specific batch being imported and be current at the time of customs examination.CCR mandatory-document instruction · e-Sanchit document codes 0010dc, 0030dc
- 2Upload the consignment label (document code 0110dc) in e-Sanchit prior to out-of-charge. The customs proper officer will verify all three mandatory documents — 0010dc, 0030dc, and 0110dc — before granting out-of-charge on PGA-facilitated bills not separately routed through the PGA for NOC.CCR mandatory-document instruction · e-Sanchit document code 0110dc
The most common error on this tariff line is assuming that routing the bill through the PGA for an NOC discharges the e-Sanchit upload obligation — it does not. On PGA-facilitated bills not separately routed for NOC, the customs proper officer independently verifies that document codes 0010dc, 0030dc, and 0110dc are all uploaded before out-of-charge; a missing batch release certificate alone is sufficient to detain the consignment and attract demurrage.
