The most frequent error for fresh quince imports is presenting labelling that meets FSS (Labelling and Display) Regulations, 2020 in form but omitting the per-serve percentage contribution to recommended dietary allowance or the date of expiry alongside the best-before date. These specific omissions fall within the rectifiable-labelling dispensation only if the corrected information originates from the manufacturer and is verified by an authorised officer; corrections sourced from the importer alone are not accepted, and a failed re-inspection results in consignment detention pending re-export or destruction.
