HSN 0408 99 00 (other birds' eggs not in shell, and egg yolks) is subject to Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Import Licence and foreign-manufacturer registration under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. - 2Upload the Veterinary Health Certificate issued by the exporting country (document code 853AQ1) and the Laboratory Report or Certificate of Analysis (document code 001AQ1) in e-Sanchit, as required for this CTI under Annexure A of CBIC Circular 24/2022-Cus. - 3Route the consignment only through a designated food-import entry point under General Note 4(D) of Schedule I of the ITC (HS) 2022. The most frequent error on this tariff line is uploading the FSSAI Import Licence and the AQCS Sanitary Import Permit while omitting the Veterinary Health Certificate (853AQ1) and the Certificate of Analysis (001AQ1), which are separate document-code requirements under CBIC Circular 24/2022-Cus. A missing COA or veterinary certificate is not a rectifiable labelling deficiency — it triggers detention at the designated port pending re-inspection, and out-of-charge is refused until all four document codes are present in e-Sanchit.
