    Route the consignment exclusively through one of the 79 designated food-import ports per General Note 4(D) of Schedule I of the ITC (HS) 2022, and upload the Specimen Copy of Label (document code 0110FS). Labelling defects that are rectifiable under FSSAI Letter 1828/Misc Matters/FSSAI/Imports-2021 must be addressed before out-of-charge; missing PGA clearances are not rectifiable under that scheme.

The most common error on this tariff line is conflating the FSSAI Import Licence clearance with full compliance and overlooking the independent AQCS Sanitary Import Permit, which must be issued and uploaded by AQCS — not the importer — before the bill of entry is filed. A consignment arriving at a designated port with a current FSSAI licence but without the AQCS NOC IRN quoted on the bill of entry will be detained; demurrage accrues from the day of vessel arrival, and the rectifiable-labelling concession under FSSAI order dated 18-11-2022 does not extend to a missing quarantine clearance.
